Therapyworks Mid North Coast is an Occupational Therapy Service helping young people achieve greater independence. Therapy is tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of each individual, helping your child to flourish, developing confidence and meaningful connections. Therapyworks Mid North Coast can assist with a variety of developmental, social and emotional challenges.

Therapyworks Mid North Coast addresses challenges at home or school including concentration, handwriting, emotional regulation or social skills. We have experience working with clients who are living with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, Down Syndrome, Hearing or Vision Impairment, general developmental delays and a range of other illness or disability.

Occupational Therapists (OT) are qualified health professionals who work with people of all ages and abilities. An OT helps individuals to function more effectively in all aspects of life, such as taking care of oneself and others, working, volunteering, and participating in hobbies, interests and social events.

The primary goal of Occupational Therapy is to enable adults and children to participate in the occupations of everyday life.

Occupational therapists assist adults and children to manage ongoing symptoms and prevent complications by:

  • Building their knowledge and skills.
  • Finding new ways of doing activities.
  • Changing the environment to suit their needs.

No. Many people are referred by a GP or Health Professional, but that is not necessary. Give us a call to discuss your needs.

Please contact Therapy Works MNC for up to date session prices. Currently fees are in line with NDIS recommended fee schedule.

NDIS Funding:
If you have NDIS funding, then funding for Occupational Therapy services generally falls under ‘Improved Daily Living’. Therapists are able to provide standardised assessments, reports and progress reports to submit to the NDIS when a client's funding is being reviewed. We are able to see clients registered with the NDIS who are self managed or plan managed.

Private Health Insurance:
Occupational Therapy Services are rebatable under certain ancillary tables of private health funds. If you do have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate, depending on your type of cover. Please contact your health fund for more information.

We understand things happen and sometimes appointments need to be cancelled. You can cancel your appointment with 24 hours notice. However, fees will be charged for cancellations with less than 24 hours notification or failure to attend a session without notification.

About

Michelle Delaney



Michelle is highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist, with over 20 years experience. After graduating from the University of Pretoria, South Africa (B.OT), Michelle worked in the United Kingdom before coming to Australia where she completed a Masters in Health Science (OT) through the University of Sydney.

Michelle has worked across the public and private health sectors, has lectured at university, and is passionate about working with children and families, finding solutions to everyday challenges.

Michelle has extensive experience working in the preschool and school environment, providing individual and group based interventions, liaising with teachers and caregivers to provide effective client focussed solutions. Additionally she has a broad range of experience completing functional assessments within the home and work environment.

Finally, as the mother of three very active young children, Michelle understands the demands of parenting and the importance of finding workable solutions for families.
